When you use Essay Feedback AI, we collect:

Account information — your Google display name and email address, used solely for authentication
Essay content — text you submit for feedback, stored to provide history and track usage
Usage data — number of essays submitted, to enforce free-tier limits

2. How We Use Your Data

Your essay text is sent to Cerebras AI for analysis only. We do not use your content to train AI models. Your data is used exclusively to:

Generate writing feedback (score, annotations, suggestions)
Store your submission history so you can review past essays
Enforce usage limits on the free tier

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except:

Cerebras AI — essay text is processed by Cerebras to generate feedback
Supabase — our hosting provider stores account and essay data
PayPal — processes payments for Pro subscriptions (we do not store payment details)

4. Data Retention

Your essays and account data are retained as long as your account is active. You may delete individual essays from your history at any time. To delete your account entirely, contact us at turuuyt@gmail.com.

5. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for authentication. We do not use tracking cookies or analytics beyond Google AdSense, which may use cookies for ad personalization.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

7. Security

We use industry-standard encryption and authentication measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
